Guess who had a big day out in Manchester to see Radiohead on Sunday evening, and was so thoughtful as to call and sing Paranoid Android down the phone to me? It was very thoughtful, Sweens, and it made me smile. I recently tried the same trick with Buuuuuuuud from the Spice Girls, but it’s not quite as credible, is it? Let’s hope it didn’t rain down on our dear chum from the Principality at the open air festivities.Well, the gig was Manchester, wasn’t it?

Your correspondent is most contrite, but he has been rather busy of late. Events, dear chums, events. Also, a lack of correct prioritisation, but he’s only human. I am sure you all understand. Anyway, Peter’s Friends are delighted to share with you a photograph from a charity treasure hunt undertaken by Toto, Ben, Bush & Ming (with the help of Ben’s Mother Lyn) a fortnight ago in the Smoke. It was all in a good cause, with Macmillans Cancer Care and Ragalla Aid (a Sri Lankan Charity) jointly benefiting from the funds raised, and by all appearances, a good time was had by all. It must be something in the air in SW11.

Your correspondent is delighted to report that Mrs Buuuuuuuuuuud–Jackson is free of gainful employment for the time being, as a result of being in a state of mild incapacitation due to the beach ball shaped baby-to-be she has hidden under yet another of her strikingly designed tops, this one coming via outer cyberspace (I am told), courtesy of Messrs Ebay. Based on the photographic evidence alone of the designs chosen by one of Peter’s oldest friends of late as part of her personal ensemble, we shall probably by lucky to ascertain the gender of the offspring when it arrives on the grounds of a photograph alone. On the grounds of “blue for a boy, pink for your correspondent”, quite what geometric designs on a babygrow signify is anyone’s guess. Luckily, Buuuuuuud and Dean will hopefully have the best advise that Adenbrooke’s can offer in such matters of the gender of any "issue" with which they are endowed. Of course, it’s a 50/50 chance as to what gender the child will be. But you just know it will be a girl though, don’t you? Or, perhaps, a boy....

Whilst watching The Apprentice last week, I discovered another celebrity lookalike – a “close friend” of one of Peter’s Friends. Do you need any clues? Well, she has more school holidays than her pupils, and likes to play ball with Paul Pescicsteptoe. No? Well, I think she looks like her, anyway!
