Happy February 14th to all of Peter’s Friends – Founders Day at your correspondents work, as you might have guessed. However you happen to be spending the day, little can beat Ming, who has taken Red Bush to Florence for 5 days, the old rogue. Bush sent me a text this morning, and is in a decidedly excited state, not to mention an expectant one, as she is rather hoping for, quite literally, a room with a view. “I’ve seen the itinerary, Matt, and under “view” it says “Carparketti”. Do you think that means we’re going to get a view of either the Arno or the Duomo?” “Probably both”, I replied in all sincerity.
